13-19 November, Global Entrepreneurship Week will celebrate 16 years of helping millions of people unleash their ideas to start and scale new businesses. With 200 countries taking part it is recognised as the biggest global celebration of entrepreneurship.

USW Enterprise, part of USW Careers, supports students and graduates who are interested in developing their enterprise skills, freelancing, starting their own business or social enterprise and want to discuss, develop, test and launch their ideas.

No matter where you are in your start-up journey, we can help every step of the way from a scribbled down idea to the launch of your business!

We offer one-to-one support and mentoring throughout the year, as well as a range of interactive events and workshops to give you the knowledge, confidence and networks to start working for yourself.


Startup Stiwdio is USW’s dedicated co-working and incubation space designed to help develop and grow new business ideas and is located at our Cardiff and Newport campuses, with a new Stiwdio in Treforest coming soon.

Students and graduates can benefit from a free virtual or physical membership, with support including:

  • Dedicated business support programs and events
  • 6 months free booking and accountancy services
  • 1-year free legal support
