Aerospace

A member of the RAeS, I joined The Society of Licenced Aircraft Engineers and Technologist in 1978, SLAET combined with RAeS in 1983, a member of a professional Institution for over 40 years. Joined the accreditation committee in 1995 and have been an active member since. Chair in 2009, role is to accredit Aerospace/Aeronautical and Aircraft related degrees worldwide, also Corporate Graduate development schemes in the UK. 

Also a Member of, Professional Standards Board, Registration Committee, EPA Committee, IAP Committee and Technician/Apprentice Forum at Engineering Council; and End Point Assessor for Trailblazer Apprenticeship Programmes L3 Aircraft Maintenance, L4 Aircraft Maintenance Certifying Engineers and L6 Aerospace Software Development Engineer. 

An External Examiner at Kingston University for Aircraft, Aeronautical & Aerospace U/G programmes, working closely with Airbus UK, Filton and Broughton sites, advising and assisting Graduate Apprentices when preparing for Professional Registration


Motorsport 

Motorsport UK Technical Commissioner & International Scrutineer A member of 2 specialist committees. Technical and Scrutineer Training, Currently an examining Technical Commissioner, carrying out Technical assessments for upgrades, annual technical assessment for current eligibility scrutineers and lead technical training sessions. 

Technical Delegate FIA F4 British Championship, responsible for technical regulations and inspections to ensure cars are built to meet the regulations in both safety and eligibility.
