Apply before 19 May

NOTE:

  • You must have graduated in 2022, 2023 or will be graduating in 2024 and be located in Wales at the start of the accelerator programme as this is a condition of our funding criteria. Residency/Address in South Wales must be confirmed before applying for this programme.
  • The accelerator programme will be delivered both online and in person, with the opportunity for you to meet in person with a business/enterprise mentor on a weekly basis. Therefore, you will need to be able to travel to one of our 4 USW campuses as a mandatory condition of being accepted onto LAUNCH.
  • Final year students and/or recent graduates that are on student or Tier 4 VISAs are NOT eligible to apply. Graduate VISA status with the right to work in the UK must be approved and included as evidence to your application form.
  • Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that every submission will be shortlisted or accepted for the LAUNCH accelerator.
  • Deadline for applications is 19 May 23:59. There will be an interview and networking day on 22 May for shortlisted candidates.
  • All successful candidates will be contacted by 24 May to start the LAUNCH accelerator w/c 27 May 2024. Launch will run until 13 September 2024 (15 weeks duration).
  • All successful graduates MUST commit to the accelerator for the FULL duration. If you are working more than 16 hours (or 2 days) a week, then it will be difficult to commit to the programme and you will be unable to participate.
  • Funding will be paid in two instalments, on the condition of mandatory monthly progress reports submitted by the graduate and approved by a member of USW staff. The funding is intended as a salary replacement and therefore living costs are acceptable, but you will have to seek other sources of funding for business related costs.
  • IMPORTANT: Funding will be reclaimed from participants should the graduate fail to attend the full duration of the programme and/or fail to submit any of the mandatory monthly progress reports.
