How can Springboard +Plus support me as a recent Graduate?

Did you know you can access USW Careers advice and support even after you have graduated? 

We can help you with bespoke career action planning and guidance appointments that will get you on that path towards your dream job. We also have online resources for you including our Careers Development course to help you at every stage of the recruitment process from writing CVs, cover letter, applications, to prepare for interviews and assessment centres. Along with access to the graduate My Career toolkit, which includes a CV Builder, CV360 and Interview360 for online recruitment process help. 

You can also get CVs and applications checked before sending them off to employers. Book into an appointment with a Careers Adviser or send it in for feedback via the Ask a Question Service.  

Springboard +Plus can offer you *fully funded internships and work experience opportunities along with graduate job alerts and employer connections to help you secure your dream job.  We also have our Graduate business start-up & freelance accelerator - USW Launch - that can help you concentrate on your business idea with funding and enterprise mentorship.

Paid Placement Opportunities

If you have said yes to any of the above, then get in touch; we have a number of graduate level opportunities available right NOW!

A CV and cover letter will be required to apply for each placement position. And we can help you with that. Just log on to CareersConnect and book an appointment with a Careers Adviser.

Open to University of South Wales graduates from graduating years 2019, 2020 & 2021 ONLY with the right to work in the UK. 

All placements offer a salary of at least £9.50 per hour and are fixed term for a period of up to 12 weeks.

USW Launch - Graduate Freelance & Business Start-up Accelerator

USW Springboard +Plus: Graduate Support Programme & Student Enterprise are offering a limited number of places to recent USW graduates with a great business idea!  You could unlock start-up funding of up to £5,000 and expert business coaching to get your idea off the ground through USW LAUNCH  - our Graduate Freelance & Business Start-up Accelerator:

  • Launch! 

The LAUNCH overview shows the monthly stages and timeline delivered by the Student Enterprise Team.  This is flexible to suit each individual’s journey/business idea, which can be adjusted during designated check-ins. You will participate in scheduled group coaching sessions to develop your mindset and confidence, plus appointments with a business mentor. You will also take part in a full Springboard+ showcase event to share your business and meet with peers, university staff and industry.

Graduates can also get in touch with our Startup Stiwdio, which is USW’s dedicated incubation space and programmes, designed to help develop and grow new business ideas. They can provide a bespoke startup business support programme, a great space to work, and the opportunity to grow your business contacts through our various networks and events.
