With graduation around the corner do you need help in applying for jobs?

You may not know what type of jobs you’d like to do, what’s available, or where to start looking. Don’t worry USW Careers are here to help.  If you are open minded and flexible there are opportunities out there. We can support you in finding them and making successful applications. If you are applying for post graduate study we can help with that too. This support is available now, over the summer and after you finish your course.

Our career and skills development system.  It is jam-packed with resources, tools and learning materials to help you understand yourself better and the options open to you, develop your skills, and present yourself well to employers – including great resources to help you create a fantastic LinkedIn profile.


We can help you. We offer 1-2-1 support, mentoring throughout the year, as well as a range of interactive events & workshops, giving you the knowledge, confidence & networks.

Complete our online employability award, the GradEdge Award, which will help you to develop the skills and attributes employers are looking for.


Our jobs board and events system where you can see all of the latest opportunities posted by employers as well as events that will be running, including online events!  We recommend signing up for the weekly alerts to make sure that you don’t miss out on anything (or daily if you are really keen!).

We arrange a calendar of workshops, events and employer activities. Our events range from subject and sector-specific events to large scale graduate fairs.


All of our appointments are running online with details on how to book.  The Ask a Question service is also running as normal.

Rebecca is a former USW BA History student who graduated in 2015. During her two years working on the Business Management Graduate Scheme with Enterprise Rent-A-Car Rebecca has had two promotions and is now learning about recruitment within HR. Rebecca didn’t know what she wanted to do after graduating from university with a History degree.  She has now landed the role of HR Talent Acquisition Specialist.
