If you are applying for graduate roles you are likely to come across online tests.
Many graduate recruiters use online psychometric tests as part of the recruitment and selection process, to measure specific abilities, such as verbal, numerical and logical reasoning skills. Some use personality exercises to determine your behavioural preferences and assess your typical reactions and attitudes to a range of different situations.
The tests can take place at various stages of the recruitment process. Some use them as part of the initial online application process, and/or during assessment centres.
The good news is that it is possible to practise in advance and improve your skills.
