Witness Service
Witness Service is run by Citizens Advice. We provide free and independent support for both prosecution and defence witnesses in every criminal court in England and Wales. Our trained volunteers provide practical information about the process, as well as emotional support to help witnesses feel more confident when giving evidence.

Victim Support
Victim Support is an independent charity. We are dedicated to supporting people affected by crime and traumatic incidents in England and Wales, and we put them at the heart of our organisation. Our support and campaigns are informed and shaped by them and their experiences.

Come along to our webinar to find out about the work we do within our Hate Crime Team understanding the impact of hate crime on individuals and wider society. We have a variety of roles for students to get involved in:

Hate Crime Support Volunteer
Volunteers to provide emotional support over the phone and face to face for victims of hate crime.

Hate Crime Community Engagement Volunteer
Volunteers to engage with the local community to raise awareness of hate crime. This may include attending events, running stalls, leaflet drops and being visible in the community.

Hate Crime Leaders
Hate Crime Leaders act as a point of contact within their community to promote positive engagement with services, encourage reporting of hate crime and hate incidents and help people access support.
