Cwm Taf Youth Offending Service : Volunteers wanted!

Cwm Taf Youth Offending Service is looking for volunteers to act as community panel members.

  • Panels are held at Merthyr and Treforest bases.
  • A young person is referred to the panel by the courts through a sentence called a Referral Order.
  • These orders vary in length from 3 to 12 months, depending on the seriousness of the crime.
  • They allow young people to speak for themselves, and to take responsibility for their actions.
  • They give the community a chance to have a say in the way young people repair the harm they have caused and to give them positive support to prevent further offending

Volunteer with South Wales Police on exciting operations and events!

The Police Student Volunteering scheme was set up to help South Wales Police carry out various crime prevention campaigns and high visibility patrols. This is a unique opportunity to gain insight into what it’s like to be part of South Wales Police.

This project is a partnership between SVC, South Wales Police, Cardiff University, Cardiff Metropolitan University, the University of South Wales and their Students’ Unions and Cardiff Volunteering.
