Thousands of jobs on UniLife Connect

September 26, 2018

If you are in your final year thinking about graduate jobs, or a second year student still considering whether you should do a year out or summer placement then you should really check out Unilife Connect!

Unilife Connect is jam packed with thousands of opportunities and employers are adding more every day. There are hundreds of employers with live vacancies on the system right now, and if you bear in mind that most of these have multiple roles available (some hundreds) then that adds up to a lot of opportunities for students to apply for!

Unilife Connect has some great features to help you with your job hunting and applications:

Preferences – tell the system what you are interested in by clicking on the wheel icon on the toolbar.

Vacancy Search – use the “More Search Options” drop down to narrow your vacancy search.

Bookmark – when searching for opportunities you can use the “Bookmark Vacancy” tool to bookmark any opportunities that you want to easily find later.

Employers – search by employers, view their profile, opportunities they are advertising and any upcoming events they are booked in for. You can use the “Follow” tool to tell the system to notify you if the employer adds an opportunity.

Dashboard – click on the “Dashboard” button on the toolbar to see any vacancies you’ve bookmarked, employers you are following, events you have booked and any appointments you’ve made.

Ask a Question – you can use the “Ask a Question” tool to ask us a quick question or get help with applications (you can attach documents to your question such as your CV or a draft application).

The Employability Tools contain lots of really useful practical tools to help you with your career planning and to help you stand out during applications, interviews and other selection activities. Resources include a CV Builder, practice Psychometric Tests, Interview Simulator, Assessment Centre Tool, Career Assessments, and loads more!

“Some employers recruit all year round and don’t have closing dates but most do have deadlines and if you miss them you’ll have to wait until next year so get stuck into applying now! My top tip to never miss a deadline is to keep an eye on out on our 7 Days page to spot vacancies with deadlines closing within the next week.

And of course the Careers Team is here to help you with those applications.” – Matthew Evans, USW Careers
