GO Wales signs up one hundredth student, and is extended to 2022!

Over the summer vacation GO Wales signed up it’s one hundredth student at USW (well 102 to be exact), and received confirmation from funders that the project has been extended to January 2022.

GO Wales works with students across the University who are finding it tough to get good quality career focussed work experience and have placed students into work experience that fits around their studies with all sorts of employers.

Employers that we’ve arranged work experience placements for students at include:

GO Wales works with students who need extra support in finding relevant work experience based on student needs. There is no typical GO Wales student, but all students must be eligible and suitable, which is assessed by a GO Wales Employability Adviser.

GO Wales offer:

  • Financial support may be available with e.g. childcare and transport costs
  • One-to-one advice
  • Support in developing your CV and practice your interview skills
