YHA are visiting USW on Tuesday 24th April and will have a stand in the Treforest Library 11am to 3pm to promote their volunteering opportunities at their summer camps.
Camps take place in July and August at YHA’s Edale and National Forest in Derbyshire, YHA Coalbrookdale in Shropshire and YHA St Briavels Castle in Gloucestershire.
- Volunteer Team Leaders encourage campers to enjoy their time at camp by taking part in the activities on offer and they also provide essential pastoral care. Apply if you have experience of supporting young people and you thrive in a busy environment.
- Welfare Volunteers help everyone get the most out of their camp experience by listening and offering advice. Apply if you have experience of supporting others and have, or are working towards, a qualification in mentoring or counselling.
You can benefit from YHA World Class training in behaviour management, safeguarding and more. Free food and accommodation is provided along with up to £150 in travel expenses.
“Volunteering for CampYHA has given me more confidence and a greater sense of self-worth. I met some of the kindest people and I can’t wait for next year to do it all again.”
