USA Summercamp are visiting USW on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th November to promote their paid summer camp opportunities

They will be giving talks and having stands across campuses, so book in for a talk or have a chat with them at one of their stands to find out more.

Teach English in China - Paid graduate opportunities

TEIC Logo ​The Teach English in China (TEIC) Programme will be visiting USW to give talks on their paid jobs teaching English in China. Any degree subject is accepted and no experience is required as full training is provided.

TEIC www.teic.co.uk is a boutique programme dedicated to sending graduates to China. It is run in conjunction with CEAIE, a not for profit wing of the Ministry of Education, Beijing.

We recruit all year round for 10 month teaching placements starting every February, August, September and October. Our teaching placements are in cities throughout China from Kindergarten to University Level and we place based on your preferences.

Those who are graduating in July are eligible to apply. Any degree subject is accepted and no experience is required as full training is provided.

What we offer:

  • Salary between £1,000 – £1,745 per month
  • Free online TEFL training course
  • Free training camp on arrival where you will meet other TEIC teachers
  • International return airfare
  • Free apartment with complete facilities
  • Medical insurance
  • Free Chinese courses
  • Frequently organized activities for all foreign teachers
  • We place friends together

Position descriptions:

  • Teaching oral and written English for primary, junior and senior students in public schools
  • Class size: 25-40
  • Employment contract is 10 month, includes 4 weeks winter holiday with salary included
  • 16-25 lesson period/week(40 or 45mins/lesson period

Most of the employers at the fair have placements and graduate schemes which are open to students from any subject area so whatever course you are doing there are loads of opportunities there for you.

Final Year Students
If you haven’t already started applying for graduate jobs then there’s no time to waste, get yourself to the fair tomorrow to find out all the stuff that they don’t tell you on their websites.

Second Year Students
If you aren’t already aiming to do a year out or summer placement then you should know that employers use these as their preferred route of graduate recruitment ie impress them on placement and you’ll have a fantastic graduate job sorted!

Meet 70 Top Employers at the opportunities Fair on Thursday

There are only a few days to go until the Opportunities Fair on Thursday where you’ll have the chance to meet 70 leading graduate recruiters to talk to them about their graduate and placement vacancies.

Opportunities Fair crowds “As well as our event sponsors, PCI Pharma Services and MotoNovo Finance, we have a fantastic range of leading graduate recruiters confirmed for the event, including Deloitte, Hugh James, TeachFirst, GE, PwC, South Wales Police, General Dynamics, Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, CGI, ONS, Tata Steel, Principality Building Society, Sony, Alert Logic and lots more.” says Matthew Evans, Careers Team Manager.

“This is a key event for final year students looking for graduate jobs, and first and second year students interested in placements and other work experience opportunities.”

“I’d advise to students is to get the most out of the event by visiting the fair website to identify the employers they want to talk to on the day, know what they do and the opportunities they have.
