Careers fairs and other employer focuses events are a great way to meet employers face to face, learn about organisations, their opportunities, when they are recruiting and what they are looking for from students and graduates. If you haven’t decided on your career plans then fairs are a great place to explore what opportunities are available.
The Careers & Employability Service run fairs throughout the year, including these key events:
Part-Time Jobs Fair (Early October)
This is the event for students looking for a part-time job which can fit around studies.
Experience Works Fair (Late October)
Work experience and volunteering fair which can help students to gain career related experience and developing new skills.
Opportunities Fair (Second week in November)
This is the main fair in our calendar attracting 60-70 top graduate employers and around 1,500 students. This is a key event for final year students looking for graduate jobs and for first and second year students looking for placements and other work experience.
Futures Events (Throughout the year)
These are sector or course specific careers events which give an insight into careers in that sector. They usually involve employer panels / seminars and networking.
