Event Date April 3, 2017 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Location – YMCA Swansea 1 The Kingsway Swansea SA1 5JQ

Aged 16-32 and interested in getting involved in international development?

Hub Cymru Africa has organised a fun, interactive and engaging day to learn more about international development, hear voices of young activists from across the country, learn, network and meet other young people with similar interests.

We will be running a series of interactive workshops with youth organisations on; volunteering in Wales and Africa, how to get involved in the sector and how to influence local AM’s and MP’s.

YCARE International will host a workshop on their International Citizen Service (ICS) which is making opportunities possible for young UK volunteers to work on a one-to-one basis with their peers in Bangladesh, Togo, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Senegal. They work together in small teams over three months to tackle social exclusion and poverty in some of the world’s poorest communities.
Intergrate, an organisation based in Bristol will look at how youth can play an active role in amplifying their voices and agents for change in their community and globally.

Hub Cymru Africa (HCA) is a new partnership supporting Welsh communities, charities and groups working on development projects in Africa. The aim of this conference is to increase youth engagement in the sector in Wales as well as highlighting opportunities of getting involved in Wales, UK and abroad.
